The electrical post heater 3.0kW for DV245 (R&L) Adroit is an optional accessory that can be used to heat the air after post filtration.
The electrical post heater is designed to provide additional heating to the supply air when the outdoor temperature is very low or when the heat recovery efficiency is not sufficient to meet the heating demand.
As per the Passive House Certificate, appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the heat exchanger coil from getting damaged by frost during low winter temperatures.
The unit is equipped with an outdoor air – supply air - bypass, which is controlled dependent upon the extract, exhaust and outdoor air temperature. The supply air is further post-heated to pre-set value. For this purpose, the unit can be optionally equipped with two internal electrical heaters with a total heating power of 3 kW.
In case the heating power is insufficient, the airflow volume of both streams is continuously decreasing, until the pre-set supply air temperature is reached.
