If used as a pre heating coil, its purpose is to protect the heat exchanger from freezing and ensure equal pressure of supply and extract air. This prevents damage to the unit’s components and improves the heat recovery system. If used as a post heating coil, it will increase the supply air temperature according to the required set temperature.
