A VOC air quality sensor combined with a humidity sensor is available as an accessory. The sensor is used to control the air quality according to the amount of undesirable VOCs in the local room air and also monitor humidity levels for moisture protection, this will enable you to combat mould contamination. The VOC sensor measures volatile organic substances (VOCs) which come from food, furniture, carpets and other undesirable smells. The sensor filters these out of your home automatically, by communicating with the unit and opening and closing its internal dampers to increase airflow. The sensitivity of the VOC sensor can be set in the commissioning software. Removal of bad smells from the home is essential to good standards of living.
