The Intumescent Rectangular Fire Collar (90000107) prevents the spread of fire, smoke, and hot gases through plastic pipes and flat channel ducting that penetrate fire compartment walls and floors. They contain an intumescent material, which reacts under the influence of heat to exert pressure on the pipe as it softens. This forms a carbonaceous char, which acts as an effective insulation plug. This char plug prevents smoke and fire passing through to the adjoining compartment and provides you with premium fire protection
