Intumescent Fire Sleeve (90001022) prevents the spread of fire, smoke and hot gasses through plastic pipes or ducting that penetrate the fire compartment of walls and floors. They contain intumescent material inside the pipe, which reacts under heat to exert pressure on the pipe as it softens. This forms a carbonaceous char, which provides an effective insulation plug. This char plug prevents smoke and fire passing through to the adjoining compartment and provides you with premium fire protection.
The Intumescent Fire Sleeve is suitable for any type of building where a fire compartment wall or floor is penetrated by plastic pipes or ducting. The stainless steel casing is easily opened, enabling fast, trouble free fitting.
